'kind of like a 'twister'.. you may not always know what's happening during.. but she'll change your landscape forever.
the difference with donna 'twist' is that you'll love the entire occurrence and keep coming back for more..
she's a whirlwind in such a good way.. she'll open your eyes to things you'd never have thought about putting on, thus, changing your landscape for the better and you will love it..!'
i am continually inspired by my wonderful family and friends.... my soul longs for the genuine conversations that take place in the store on a daily basis
i was born and raised on a dairy farm just outside of tahlequah, oklahoma until the age of 10. growing up on a farm i developed a very independent lifestyle. i was often left to my own devices and i was always encouraged to find my own way as well as my own entertainment. growing up on a farm also taught me alot about hardwork and to love and respect all that the earth brings to us.
my mother is a teacher and she taught me to read at a very early
age, she taught me to explore the world through books and reading. she is very creative and encouraged me to always think outside the box.
my
grandmother taught me the art of crochet at an early age, some of my
favorite memories are of her, my sister, and i laughing over my lopsided
blankets!
after my husband jason graduated from college in arkansas he was given a job opportunity in durham north carolina.... within
just a few months of moving to north carolina i met jordana at the
coffee shop i was working at and we immediately hit it off. i began
working for her at her store "white buffalo". within days of starting i began my creative bloom!
jordana and i spent many days and alot of all nighters creating and exploring north carolina, i remember one especially beautiful day looking over at jordana and saying "when i'm with you i see in technacolor!" she helps me see the world in a more creative way.
when jordana and i first discussed the 'asheville plan' it just felt
right. we were both ready to explore a new life here in north
carolina and we knew asheville was the perfect place.
we really wanted to have a business that caters to customers who appreciate the art of something handmade. we know, love, and appreciate all of our artists they are amazing human beings! with the help of a few good friends it happened.... seemingly overnight.
i fall in love with asheville more everyday and i feel very blessed to be here doing what i love. now if only i could get my family to move here all would be perfect.
