geography: pearls are found in salt and fresh water worldwide.

properties:  pearls are formed by the pearl oyster. it colors vary from white, black, grey, pinkish white to bluish-grey.

powers: pearl signifies faith, charity, and innocence. it is a symbol of purity, therefore it is said to evoke purity in one's body and mind. also a "stone of sincerity", it brings forth truth and loyalty.

history: in the middle ages pearls were exclusively royal gems.  pearl pendants were formed into the shape of dragons, mermaids, and centaurs during the renaissance. in 1907, japan introduced the first cultured pearl.

medicinal: pearls are used in the treatment of digestive disorders and are said to increase fertility and ease childbirth.

geography: peridot is found worldwide.

properties: peridot can range in color from pale yellow to lime green.  an occurrence of iron creates the olivine to lime green colors, which are the highest quality.

powers: peridot helps regulate the physical, mental, emotional, and intellectual cycles in life. it also assists in lessening anger or jealousy, in turn inspiring happiness within the self and delight in the nature of ones life.  peridot brings openness and acceptance in matters of love and relationships.

history: peridot was mined for over 3500 years from its deposits found on the volcanic island zabargard ( st. john), until it was forgotten and rediscovered around 1900. turkish sultans had the worlds largest collection.

medicinal: one of the greatest healing stones. peridot is both strengthening and regenerating the body. it can be used in the treatment of disorders of the heart, lungs, spleen and intestinal tract.

geography: found all over, it is the most abundant mineral in the earths crust.

origin: transparent to a varying degree of colors. quarts develops in a wide variety of environments igneous, metamorphic, and hydrothermal.

powers: one of the traditional healing stones believed to draw out pain and amplify healing energy.

geography: primary sources are russia, brazil, and pakistan.

properties: topaz is renowned for its capacity to form large gem-quality crystals.
their growth is stimulated by fluorine rich pegmatites which release the topaz into  streams and rivers thereby leaving large concentrations in the alluvial gravels. topaz can range from clear blue, pale green, yellow, orange, and red.

powers: topaz is known as a stone of "true love and success in all endeavors". it can promote individuality and creativity providing for confidence in trusting ones decisions as it cuts through the curtains of uncertainty and trepidation.

history: the sanskrit 'tapaz'  means "fire" although historically topaz was used as a coolant for both boiling water and excessive anger. in a1940 an american museum acquired the largest topaz in "captivity" from brazil which weighs in at 596 pounds.

medicinal:  it has been used in the treatment for the loss of sense of taste, and the healing of wounds and skin eruptions.
